Interesting about cogwheels, transmissions, … technical indications concerning the different transmissions:
|
|
The transmissions which we offer as Shimano gearings are chosen so that every bike sportsman can find his ideal bike for hire.
-
Taking the largest scale transmission 52/12 you will cover a distance of 9,10 m with one entire rotation of your pedal system. With 100 rotations per minute jour speed is almost 55 km/h; with 120 rotations - there is nearly nobody, who can rotate quicker - it makes already more than 65 km/h. With this transmission even ambitious racing cyclists can ride (downhill) fast enough.
-
Using the transmission 39/27 you will cover a distance of 3.03 m with one whole rotation of your pedal system. With 50 rotations per minute - you should not rotate considerably slower - your speed will reach approx. 9 km/h. Well trained racing cyclists are able to overcome even longer mountains with a 6 % slope.
-
The bicycles with a front triple gearing offer as smallest scale transmission 30/27. This corresponds to a distance of 2.33 m per one complete pedal system rotation. A speed of 7 km/h is resulting from 50 rotations per minute. Even less sportive bikers will be able to climb up nearly every mountain on Mallorca using that arrangement. They need but a bit more time for it. |
